All fillers used at Skin Design are made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally occuring in our skin and responsible for providing the skin with moisture and hydration. Using fillers made of hyaluronic acid provides for results that are both soft and natural.

You will see results immediately after treatment, however, the product will take some time to settle. Final results are apparent 2-3 weeks after treatment.

This can vary depending on the product, treatment area and patient. Most dermal filler lasts 6-12+ months.

The most common side effects are bruising, swelling, some soreness/tenderness and redness.

There is no downtime, but there are some rules you should follow. You should avoid strenuous exercise, saunas/steam rooms, swimming and makeup on the treatment area for at least 48 hours. Otherwise, you will be able to return to most of your normal, daily activities. We also recommend you receive treatment at least 2 weeks before any major event (ie: wedding, family photos, etc.) if you are concerned about social downtime.

We apply topical anesthetic prior to treatment to help reduce discomfort. The filler itself also has lidocaine in it, which further helps to reduce pain.
